This week, local residents traveled to Austin to submit testimony regarding a new social studies curriculum under consideration by the State Board of Education. The board spent this week in a first reading of the curriculum and approving it. The board will vote to adopt the curriculum during this summer’s scheduled meeting June 22-26.
